My job is to help you realize your goals. For small business owners, I do those annoying jobs that allow them to concentrate on running their businesses and meeting their goals. I help families and individuals achieve their current goals while planning for their future.
I am a Certified Public Accountant and hold a Masters in Personal Financial Planning. My goal is to make your life easier in the areas of tax preparation and planning, small business set-up and accounting and financial planning. This allows you to work on expanding your business, makes tax season worry-free and allows you to sleep at night knowing your financial house is in order.
As a former military spouse, I have specialized knowledge that can assist military members and families not only in tax preparation but in small business start-up and financial planning. I, also, have a heart to empower military families.
Beth is a native of Irmo, SC. Her family returned to Chapin in 2014 after her husband’s retirement from military service. An accounting graduate from the University of South Carolina, she also holds a Masters in Financial Planning. She has been a CPA since 1996 and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Tax Planner (CTP). She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Tax Coaches and the SC & VA Associations of CPAs. Beth specializes in small business accounting and tax planning as well as financial planning.
In her spare time you will find her exercising or spending time with family. She has been married to her husband, Guy, for twenty-six years.
Elizabeth B. Gierhart CPA LLC does not sell products (investments or insurance); work is done on a fee-only basis. Fees vary based on service.

Matthew Hill, EA
Matt, an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, joined Gierhart CPA in 2021. A native of Chapin, he holds an Associate Degree in accounting from Midlands Technical College and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina. Matt has worked in public accounting since 2006 and has experience with processing a wide variety of financial documents, including personal and business tax returns, Business Personal Property Returns, Business License renewals, and Sales/Use Tax filings. Outside of work, Matt enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Laura Knoblock – Bookkeeper
Laura, a native of Irmo, SC, joined Gierhart CPA in 2023. She holds an Associate's Degree from Midlands Technical College and a Bachelor's Degree from Limestone University. She has worked in public accounting since 2006 and has become a seasoned bookkeeper, with experience in Personal and Corporate Tax Returns, Sales Tax, Payroll Reporting and Business Licenses. In her free time, Laura enjoys going to theme parks with her child.
